Braselton, Georgia – Duncan Ende today achieved back to back victories in the first IMSA Lites event in 13 years at the historic Road Atlanta circuit. Competing for the 2006 IMSA Lites 2 Championship Ende took his West WR1000 to victory in both races on the double-header weekend.
“I was worried about learning the track coming into this race having never raced here before. I know the history of Road Atlanta and it’s been a dream come true to compete here in IMSA Lites. My crew from West and the West WR1000 performed brilliantly for me today and I look forward to adding to my points in the championship,” said Ende.
West team principle Ted Spooner, “I’m really proud of Duncan and the job he did today especially in the second race. He defended his lead on every lap against a very experienced and successful driver in Eric Vassian also running a West WR1000. West factory drivers and customers in West race cars finished 1st through 5th in the Lites 2 class and first overall with Duncan’s win.”
